10 Random Things About Me

Ok, so I really should be going to bed since it is 11:30 pm, but I'm still wound up from the late night Christmas shopping I did tonight, (I know, I'm a procrastinator) so I decided to do my list. Here goes.....
1. I have this weird thing with feet. I used to soak my feet every night before going to bed, and I would run to bed with them still wet. (This was hard to do in college with the bathroom down the hall, so I had a squirt bottle by my bed and I'd spray them before going to bed.) I don't like my feet feeling "dry and hot" when I sleep. I like them "cool and moist". I've gotten better about this, and now I just put lotion on them every night before going to sleep. That keeps them moist. :) I also can't sleep with socks on, and I have to have my feet hanging out of the covers, so they can keep cool. I know, I'm a little loony. Oh well.
2. I know most people know this about me, but I LOVE playing sports. I'm not a big sports "watcher", but I love to be playing them. My favorite is basketball which I still get to play 3 times a week. I LOVE it!!! I also enjoy volleyball, tennis, and swimming.
3. I would love to compete on the Amazing Race TV show with my husband. I think it would be so fun. I want to go to all those amazing places!! (I just wouldn't want to leave my kids that long!)
4. I used to compete in oratorical competitions when I was in 5th and 6th grade. I was a pretty dramatic kid, and loved to be up on stage. In 5th grade I played "Tuptim" in the King and I, and in 6th grade I played "Marion the Librarian" in the Music Man. That is one thing I regreted in High School, not doing drama. I think I would have liked that. Oh well, I guess I was too busy playing basketball.
5. One of my favorite snacks when I'm hungry is a piece of bread with peanut butter and sugar on it. I've done this since I was a kid! My husband thinks I'm crazy for putting sugar on top of the peanut butter. He says it's sweet enough without it. But in my opinion, you can never have to much sugar on something! I like things sweet!!!
6. I'm becoming more and more like my mother each day. I used to tease my mom because she could never remember where she put her keys, or she'd walk into a room and forget why she walked in there. Now I find myself doing these things more and more often. (I hear you lose brain cells with each kid.) But I truly hope I become like my mother, as she is an amazing example of kindness and love!!! I love you, mom!
7. My least favorite cleaning jobs around the house are cleaning the bathrooms and mopping the floor. Bring on the laundry, dishes, or even the vacuuming, I just HATE to do the bathrooms and mopping!!!!!!
8. I love to have my feet massaged. (I know, here I go with the foot thing again. I'm sorry, I don't know what my problem is with feet.) I feel so relaxed when my feet are being massaged!! Ask me anything and I'll say yes, as long as my feet are being massaged. (The funny thing is I HATE touching other people's feet!! So why do I love it when someone is rubbing my feet????)
9. My favorite season used to be summer. When I lived in California, that's when I got to spend all the time at the beach. My new favorite season is fall/winter, or whenever the temperature starts to drop below 90 degrees.
10. I can't believe I just made this list. I'm not a "List" person, and like to do things on a whim. I usually have a pretty good memory, so I don't do "to do" lists, or "grocery" lists. But I have noticed as I've gotten older, my memory is starting to falter a little. (I guess it's all those lost brain cells.)
Well, there you have it. Now I tag anyone who wants to do it. (It was actually kind of fun to do!) Now I'd better get to bed!!!!!

I love your list! I'm with you on the chores. I will do anything if I don't have to clean my bathrooms. If you lose brain cells with each kid, then it's a good thing I only had two. I forget stuff all the time!

Great list! I love the one about your feet. Everyone thinks I am crazy, but I have to wear socks going to bed. I can not stand dry feet in the morning!

I hear you on the feet, sister. I love to have mine rubbed, but don't like to touch anyone else's. That is a little weird about the wet feet in bed. I'm glad you weren't my college roommate. LOL! (yes, I'm laughing at my own joke.)

I have to have my feet hanging out too! And I hate cleaning the bathrooms. YUCK! That's why I have someone else do them (grin Ü)
